The Honu Restaurant is a contemporary eatery and traditional Hawaiian style tiki bar with a relaxed vibe serving island-style dishes.

We serve unique and creative menu items. Inside Honu is The Ka Pakele private rum bar with some of the most sought after and high end Rums from around the world. Weekly we create a unique food menu for these guests seperate from the rest of the seating. Quality is at the heart of everything we do.

Were looking for kitchen staff who are enthusiastic about fresh food and being proud to serve the food you create. Important that you have experience in casual fine dining and high volume restaurants and love having fun. Looking for someone who knows how to cook on all hot equipment, fryer, flatop and sautee' we are fast paced and pride ourselves on 20 minute ticket times when busy, we achieve this with a small dedicated staff. So if you do not have pride in your work no need to apply. We need one more person to round out our already great team. Is it you?

Our kitchen staff are expected to know our diverse menus inside and out. The Honu has a fast-paced and high volume atmosphere, so it is crucial that our Kitchen staff take pride in providing accurate and precise execution of our dishes.

Hours you will work are evenings and nights to close - we close at 10 Wed, Thurs and Sunday and 11 on Friday and Saturday. We are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Part Time available 25 hours until trained then full time.

Responsibilities:

  • This position requires cooking & prepping while maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
  • Arrives for shifts in a clean uniform and maintains good hygiene.
  • Trained to be well versed in all menu items and daily specials.
  • Teamwork and clear communication are key
  • Assist co-workers when necessary.
  • Takes initiative and shares ideas to improve quality of service when opportunity arises.
  • Qualifications:
  • Ability to execute recipes and plating per Chef direction
  • Ability to safely operate all necessary equipment
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to multitask
