Boca Medical Supply is seeking a Durable Medical Equipment Billing Customer Service Representative to join our growing organization. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious and reliable individual with an expensive background in DME billing. Our patients are our top priority! candid Employees are expected to always conduct yourself in a professional manner and have a positive attitude
Shift is M – F 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Duties and Responsibilities
- Answer Phones
- Start Patient Charts
- Insurance verification Prior Authorization.
- Confirm Medicare / Insurance eligibility.
- Verify coverage guidelines are met.
- Patient Order Entry.
- Doctor Office follow-up
- Process Private Rentals
- Order Confirmation
- Complete Customer Satisfaction Surveys
- Chart Reviews
- Scan documents and attach to Patient’s File
Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior DME BILLING Customer Service experience
- DME Billing software knowledge/familiarity
- Experience with Durable Medical Equipment, Supplies, Orthopedic Bracing and Compression Garments.
- Extensive knowledge of the industry, and Medicare Guidelines for Medical supplies and equipment.
- Ability to read and understand LCD guidelines.
- Must be efficient with automated office equipment including computers, calculators, phones and scanners and copiers.
- Excellent customer service skills and comfortable speaking on the phone with physicians and patients.
- Good working knowledge of English both verbal and written
- Must have the ability to multi-task in an ever-changing environment that can be stressful attimes.
- Possess good interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer literacy in standard office applications; i.e. Windows, MS Word, Excel; ability to learn and master industry specific software applications.
- Must have good listening, problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Adapts to stressful situations and demonstrates multi-tasking capabilities when dealing with frequent changes in an ever- evolving work environment.
- Supports the company culture within the organization by adhering to policies, practices and theCompany’s mission statement.
