Our Mission: The Barbershop Blood Pressure program gives automatic blood pressure monitors to Barbershops and Hair Salons in middle and low income communities free of charge, so they can screen their clients and themselves for High Blood Pressure and Atrial Fibrillation. The BBP App provides heart healthy educational resources, and connections to local health clinics to help identify, prevent and treat potentially serious health problems such as a heart attack and stroke.

We will be up and running by the end of November and looking for a person who is motivated to help others.

Your Roles:

Visit Barbershops and Hair Salons in Palm Beach County to introduce our service.

Ship Blood Pressure monitors and related equipment to Barbershops and Hair Salons across the country.

Communicate via email with Barbers and Hair Stylists throughout the US.

Maintain inventory of Blood Pressure Monitors and other supplies.

Do intake, inventory, and shipping of expired medical devices that will be sent to international non-profit organizations.

Some of these functions would be in conjunction with a sister company Medical Materials, Inc.

Needed Skills:

Enjoy talking and connecting with people. Not to sell something, but to introduce and teach them about our program that will help them and their clients have a better life.

Proficient on a computer. We use Hubspot/Google for Customer Relationship Management, and will teach you how to use it. UPS for shipping. Excel spreadsheets, Word, PowerPoint and Publisher documents

Organized. Maintain an inventory of blood pressure products. Intake, sort, store and ship expired medical products.

The BBP program is well validated by medical literature and Barbers who have provided this service (Watch the video on www.barbershopbp.org).
