Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years speech therapy experience required.
A full-time Speech Language Pathologist is needed to support students with moderate to severe needs in a K-12 educational setting. This contract role provides services to a diverse age range of students from Pre-K through 22 years old. The position requires experience working with behavior issues and delivering comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language evaluations
- Providing direct and consultative speech-language services
- Supervising a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to ensure effective support
- Participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Managing Medicaid documentation and compliance
Desired qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist
- Experience working with students who have moderate to severe needs, including behavior challenges
- Ability to supervise an SLPA professionally and effectively
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes and documentation
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing procedures in an educational setting
