Job Description:As a Medical Revenue Specialist, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient invoicing, account balance management, and payment collections. Additionally, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of care plan pricing, charge captures, and financial agreements. We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of medical billing processes, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process patient invoices manually, ensuring accuracy and compliance with billing standards.
  • Manage a high volume of patient account balances daily, proactively identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate care plan payment collections, liaising with patients to facilitate timely payments.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial agreement forms for care plans, outlining payment terms and responsibilities.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of care plan pricing structures to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Accurately capture charges for services rendered, maintaining detailed documentation and adherence to coding guidelines.
  • Collect intake deposits and prepare financial agreement forms to initiate care plans effectively.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze revenue cycle performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Assist with accounts receivable collections, following up on outstanding balances and resolving billing inquiries
  • Conduct regular audits of billing records and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide training and support to staff members on billing processes, coding guidelines, and revenue cycle best practices
  • Stay informed about changes in healthcare regulations and industry trends, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement in revenue cycle operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in medical billing, revenue cycle management, or similar role
  • Proficiency in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of medical coding and billing practices
