Job Description.

Ensure that the bar is set and maintained so that the bar staff has everything it needs to run an effective operation, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the outlet, running food, and set-up and breakdown of the bar.

Essential Duties.

Ensuring bar is well-stocked with ice, liquor, wine, and beer.

Prepare mixers, cut fruit, receive requisitions, check par levels, refill mixers, get ice, run food, and collect and dispose of garbage.

Change kegs when required, and ensure that garnishes and mixes stock is available at all times.

Sweep the floors, polish brass and steel, mop, and clean glassware in the outlet.

Set-up and breakdown the bar.

Maintain records and report levels of usage to assist in reordering process and ensuring that delivered items are stored properly.

Greet guests and provide them with menus and assist them in choosing drinks according to their specific tastes.

Assist bar staff when needed.

Job Requirements.

Prior bar experience in a high traffic restaurant preferred.

Must be at least 21 years of age.

Must possess a personable, cheerful demeanor, be well groomed and be able to remain calm under pressure.

Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean.

Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position, including, walking, standing, or lifting heavy items.

Able to work under outdoor conditions such as heat, cold, and/or rain.

Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.

Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per hotel standards.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, associates may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
