MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS.

A high school diploma or its equivalent and two years of clerical or public contact experience.

A college education from an accredited institution or vocational/technical training can substitute at a rate of 30 hrs.

per semester, 45 hrs.

per quarter or 710 classroom hours for each year of the required experience.

EXAMPLES OF WORK.

Interviews/screens applicants for public assistance programs to gather their information as part of their application.

Work at the Front Desk with direct contact with the public to assist them and guide them according to their needs.

Selects and refers eligible applicants to public assistance or other programs.

Records and evaluates applicants and recipients data to determine initial or continuing eligibility.

Prepares regular and special reports as needed.

Prepares and assists applicants in completion of routine intake and personnel forms.

Interviews and screens clients for program eligibility and schedules appointments within established procedures.

Perform clerical duties as assigned by the supervisor.
