Currently, we are recruiting for a Parts Counter Salesperson for our Service Center in Fort Myers, FL.
This performs a variety of duties in the service center parts department including retrieving part numbers, preparing purchase orders and processing sales.
Possesses detailed knowledge of retail and parts department operations.
Retrieves part numbers from books, microfiche, electronic catalog and other computerized systems as necessary.
Prepares and processes purchase orders.
Prepares counter billing (invoices).
Processes credit card sales.
Supports and reflects Cummins practice of being customer led and customer focused.
Completes an individual development plan for personal and professional improvement.
Attends classes, seminars and other training sessions as required.
Performs additional duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications.
Skills and Experience Required: Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone etiquette.
Relevant work experience in an automotive / diesel parts department preferred.
Working knowledge of diesel engines preferred.
Proficient in Windows, Excel, Lotus Notes, and other office equipment and software as required.
Detail oriented attention to detail and follow through.
Pleasant and cooperative attitude with co-workers.
Prompt arrival and regular attendance at work.
Able to balance a heavy workload and work with limited supervision.
Must be well organized.
Must have good listening skills.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
PHYSICAL Standing 7.

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience.
