Description.

Responsible for the follow up of assigned accounts to obtain prompt payment or resolution in accordance with JMC Business Office policies and procedures.

This requires: Research and timely actions/appeals of accounts within receivable workstation (RWS) assigned queue to correct payment terms of the applicable contract.

Research and resolution of referrals within RWS.

Research and resolution of correspondence within the HBF system.

Maintain productivity average of 45 accounts.

Maintain Quality standard of 95% or better.

Focus on quality and identification of trending variance activities for resolution by: Program correction of the PCON application, or.

Contractual issues which require heightened Managed Care Department intervention for resolution.

Displays retention of JMC contract information, to include: Identify and calculate correct expected reimbursement.

Provide written and documented support for all adjustments.

Display excellent customer service skills for both internal and external clients.

Works as a team with autonomy.

All other duties as assigned.

High School Diploma required (additional industry certification a plus).

2- 3 years experience in hospital business office collections.

Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care contracts, other government payors, and commercial insurance plans.

Ability to identify and calculate correct expected reimbursement from the UB-04, and provide clear written documented support of logic applied.

Requires knowledge of industry language, good computer skills with proficiency in windows applications.

Must have demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced environment toward a designated goal.

Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multitask in an efficient/effective manner with minimal supervision.

Required knowledge of standard office equipment (fax.

copier, calculator, etc.

).

Involves daily contact with insurance companies and/or patients, by writing, telephone, via computer programs and/or in person within an office environment.

Requires sitting for long periods of time, also stooping, bending, standing and stretching.

May require lifting up to 20 lbs.

Must have manual dexterity for typing and computer data entry.

Travel as needed.
