For the Infrastructure & Cloud Services portfolio this position provides leadership as a change agent to enable the business strategy with new and enhanced capabilities. As a member of the Enterprise Architecture team they will define and drive toward a future state that increases portfolio agility while avoiding and mitigating risk. They establish relationships with key partners and senior leadership based on personal integrity and trustworthiness.

Responsibilities include:

  • Roadmaps: strategic planning to accelerate progress toward target state
  • Opportunity Definitions: signature-ready recommendations to bridge from strategy to execution
  • Technology standards: defining technology standards, lifecycles, patterns and vendor influencing/alignment
  • Innovation: documenting the relevant top emerging trends and technologies with their associated impacts and recommendations; managing idea pipeline
  • Governance: architecture principle creation, reviewing, aligning (e.g., funding decision, Architecture Review Board, standards updates)
  • Stakeholder Engagement: build/maintain relationships, advising, staying connected/aware
  • Recommending high-level solutions in response to business imperatives
  • Development and implementation of enterprise architecture practice improvements
  • May include people management (motivate, recruit and retain key talent)

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10 years of experience in a technology role
  • 4+ years of experience in IT architecture or strategic planning role

Other Requirements

  • Experience with and understanding of the deliverables and value proposition of Enterprise Architecture
  • Experience in people management
  • Strong understanding of corporate strategy (and how technology supports and enables)
  • Deep understanding of technology trends and a broad knowledge of technology products and vendors
  • Experience influencing significant, positive change at senior levels of an organization
  • Experience establishing long-term, collaborative relationships at senior levels of an organization
  • Experience developing cost benefit analysis around technology decisions
  • Ability to organize and lead diverse groups toward common goals
  • Enterprise-mindset: ability to identify opportunities that maximize benefit to the enterprise as a whole
  • Systems and conceptual thinking: ability to capture the key elements of a system into a simple abstraction that empowers good decisions
  • Critical and analytical thinking: ability to analyze multiple long and short-term competing factors to arrive at high-quality recommendations
  • Communication: ability to effectively communicate (written, verbal, and presentation skills) to multiple levels within the business and technology organizations
  • Intellectual curiosity: ability to learn quickly and with enthusiasm

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

  • Prior experience leading an Enterprise Architecture program
  • Prior experience in a trusted advisor role to a CIO
  • Multiple years of IT strategy and strategic planning experience
  • Strong vendor management, portfolio management, project management and enterprise change management skills
  • Exposure to multiple technology environments within large, diversified companies
  • Led Infrastructure & Operations teams at a large (preferably global) scale
  • Experience defining and executing DevOps and Hybrid Cloud strategies
