We’re seeking an energetic and intuitive marketing generalist for our expanding Marketing Integration Team. We’re not your traditional corporate marketing group! This team is comprised of individual contributors who interact extensively with cross-functional teams within Assurant to drive results for Assurant’s top tier clients.

Our Client Marketing Manager is responsible for leading integrated marketing and communications initiatives designed to enhance the customer experience and drive growth and profitability for Assurant’s Global Lifestyle segment and its clients.

What You’ll Do:

  • Cultivate client and stakeholder relationships, serving as marketing point of contact for designated clients or programs within our matrixed structure
  • Assist in the development and implementation of results-driven marketing strategies for client products and services which are predefined by the business
  • Collaborate with broad cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing initiatives
  • Create content and messaging across every consumer-facing touchpoint in the buyer’s journey (pre-enrollment to cancellation) ensuring accuracy, consistency and clarity
  • Understand business needs and operational opportunities to create reusable content in support of claims, servicing and regulatory needs
  • Conduct needs analysis and take active role in content creation for deliverables (e.g. newsletters, articles, direct mail, brochures, presentations, point of purchase materials, sales tools and job aids, websites, apps, and customer communication channels including mail, email, and SMS messaging)
  • Drive in-house creative services team to execute on branded marketing for traditional and digital channels, including providing direction on artistic perspective, content and brand execution
  • Support field team by creating/reviewing/enhancing training and sales materials to realize strategic objectives including profitability and growth; this aspect of the role
  • Understand that the marketing and communications channels we drive may lean more heavily on traditional mediums and may require non-traditional means of measuring success
  • Drive legal/compliance and client approval processes for all content deliverables
  • Identify opportunities in client’s omnichannel sales process to seamlessly integrate products and services in a compliant manner
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, including reporting to leadership, as needed
  • Assist in developing Statements of Work, managing Marketing Development Funds, and/or budgets as defined by the business
  • Ensure potential cost-savings are considered for all marketing/communications initiatives

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 plus years of relevant experience in marketing management with proven success
  • Experience with core marketing methodologies related to product positioning, branding, promotions, market research and sales support
  • Experience working with client partners, exhibiting the ability to generate maximum return through effective marketing strategies and direction
  • Experience in leveraging cross-functional teams to deliver results

Additional qualifications:

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and a quick learner
  • Creative – not only as it pertains to marketing and design, but also when it comes to problem-solving
  • Experience with implementation of marketing/communication plans
  • Experience with interacting with clients, executives, business development and sales teams
  • Understanding of B2B2C marketing relationships
  • Proven analytical skills and ability to make decisions
  • Experience with project management and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and smoothly transition from one project to another
  • Understanding of customer experience and operational/systemic capabilities
  • Ability to initiate and maintain effective day-to-day communications – both internal and external - to ensure all stakeholders are informed of marketing activity and ensuring deadlines are met
  • Experience in multiple marketing channels/mediums
  • Works independently and knows when to escalate issues to management for support and/or resolution
  • Outstanding interpersonal and collaborative skills with a positive, can-do attitude and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office programs

Desired Experience, Skills, and Knowledge:

  • MBA or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Journalism
  • Bilingual with ability to read, write and speak Spanish fluently
  • Background in insurance, wireless carrier, retail, e-tail and/or OEM industries
  • Multi-national experience
