Job Purpose:

The Lead Financial Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, preparing and providing insightful explanations with regards to quarter-end earnings and investor day deliverables. This role will support FP&A management and external reporting for the segment and enterprise leadership teams.

What You Get to Do:

  • Lead financial analysis for Global Lifestyle, with a focus on Global Connected Living
  • Manage, analyze and orchestrate the quarter-end close and monthly outlook processes
  • Prepare a concise variance analysis (e.g., actual results vs. prior periods, plan & forecast) for Revenue and Net Operating Income at the segment, global line of business and business unit levels
  • Prepare in-depth explanations for margin analysis
  • Prepare and develop reports on a daily, monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis
  • Provide critical financial support to FP&A/Finance management, including quarter-end earnings, segment President, enterprise CFO and Board of Directors presentations
  • Provide support as Global Connect Living business liaison
  • Support Investor Relations requests for the Lifestyle segment, including reviewing the quarterly earnings release, earnings script, segment analytics package, Q&A preparation document and Investor Day support
  • Manage the Lifestyle segment, with a focus on Global Connected Living, by identifying and explaining trends and variance drivers, key performance indicators, and risks and opportunities
  • Responsibilities involve working closely with the FP&A and other finance teams to enhance processes and reporting, recommend and implement procedures to resolve data quality issues and ensure consistency between multiple areas and reporting systems
  • As Lead Financial Analyst, provide guidance to other analysts on the team
  • Solid knowledge of financial statement consolidations, internal controls and reviews, financial standards, audits, US GAAP & local GAAP reconciliation and financial variance analysis

What You Need to Have:

  • Bachelors degree required Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance/accounting; must include income statement analysis
  • Advanced usage of Excel in an accounting/finance function
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt procedures, processes and techniques to more complex problems and issues
  • Apply advanced and sophisticated analytical techniques
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections using an advanced level of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

What We Would Like You to Have:

  • Masters in Finance/Accounting or MBA
  • CPA
  • Advanced ability to build financial reports, quickly manipulate data and conduct financial analysis under tight timelines
  • Thorough understanding of business issues and concepts related to insurance or mobile industry
  • Proficient in understanding foreign exchange changes and impact on the financial statement lines
  • Insurance and/or Mobile industry experience
