POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Claims Customer Care Rep position embodies Florida Peninsula's mission to be the insurer Floridians choose to protect their homes by providing an excellent customer experience. Our Claims Customer Care Representative provides customers with the answers they need about their claims.

By handling inbound calls from our existing customers, our Customer Care Representative can build and maintain relationships with our insureds and provide updates to their claims when they need it most.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Answers and/or returns calls from Insureds, Public Adjusters, Attorneys, Vendors, Agents, and others regarding open and closed claims. Responds to inquiries, answers questions, and provides claim status information. Updates claim notes documenting phone calls and what action was taken. Transfers callers to appropriate persons as needed. Review emails from Call Center regarding after-hours and evening inquiries from customers on open or closed claims; call customers and answer questions, update claim notes as applicable. Other duties and administrative projects as assigned. May have the opportunity to work extended hours providing customer service assistance in the event of a Catastrophe (CAT).

 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • High School diploma required. Minimum 2 years of customer service experience. Florida licensed 440, 220, or 620 (if not licensed, must be obtained within 30 days of employment). Effective time management, organizational, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Experience providing customer service regarding homeowner's insurance claims. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
