Claims Data Analyst I
Position Summary: The Claims Data Analyst I will assist the Senior Business Analyst in drafting and distributing reports to Claims leadership. They will prepare and review reports with Claims leadership to promote understanding of KPI's and perform ad hoc analysis as needed. Essential Functions: The Claims Data Analyst works closely with Claims leadership to monitor performance trends and actively conduct further analysis to develop and implement improvement opportunities. Gather, analyze and interpret complex sets of data, developing data workflows and mapping for quantitative analysis on claims financial, quality, and performance data. Identify data trends and patterns; facilitate root cause analysis; communicate observations and recommend solution alternatives to management. Present reporting and observations effectively through the preparation of charts, graphs, and other visual elements. Support data requests to determine how available data may fulfill the information need in question. Develop advanced spreadsheets for claims metrics that reduce redundancies, provide consistency, and maximize efficiency in reporting. Participate in management meetings to communicate and report observations and collaborate in identifying solutions. Prepare and review executive review package, including operational metrics and financial analysis. Develop and update data mining capabilities and reporting methodology Assist in special projects as appropriate.
