Position Summary:
The position is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's compliance-related processes and procedures. Knowledge of property and casualty insurance compliance risks and associated implementation is critical to this role. Candidate may be required to travel periodically.
Essential Functions:
Work with CRO and compliance committee in the development of the compliance risk management plan, identifying risks, controls, and mitigations, tracking progress and effectiveness, reporting on compliance risk to the compliance committee Ensure appropriate compliance risks are identified and business processes are appropriately implemented to account for such risks - including developing and managing cross-organizational policies and tasks Ongoing management of compliance plan to ensure continued compliance with legal and regulatory requirements Develop and maintain a detailed understanding of business strategic goals and objectives and aligning the compliance plan Identify compliance concerns and/or gaps for new product launches and implementations. Participate in the development of new products and services to ensure that the design takes compliance into account from the beginning. Work with the management team to support market conduct or other regulatory examinations/compliance inquiries. Work with outside council, government relations, and other consultants to keep a pulse of changing regulatory environments. Coordinate with the company's business partners to determine their compliance programs. Ensure they are consistent with the company's policies and evaluate any potential risks these partners may pose. Manage any external vendors that are selected to assist in the compliance plan. Determine what type of training employees require to meet various compliance requirements and support / develop that training. Ensure the organization's compliance program is consistently enforced throughout the company.#LI-Remote
