Brown & Brown Insurance is seeking a Commercial Lines Account Service Manager Assistant to join their team in Fort Myers, Florida.

Primary Objectives & Summary: The Commercial Account Manager Assistant is responsible for maintaining policy service workflow and aiding the Commercial Lines Account Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Issue Certificates of Insurance & Evidence of Property Forms
  • Request Loss Runs from carriers or online.
  • Process and check Policies timely for all renewals as needed, including mailing/sending to insured. (Assist in following up with policy discrepancies received from a service provider such as Patra.)
  • Pre-Renewal Checklists to assist Account Service Managers/Select Agent with renewal marketing process, including preparing applications and proposals.
  • Responsible for follow-up on Direct Bill renewals prior to month-end
  • Request endorsements
  • Issue carrier on-line endorsements
  • Process all endorsements received, verifying accuracy and sending to insureds
  • Follow-up on Endorsement Requests as directed by Account Service Manager
  • Request Additional Information from Insured (driver information, updated renewal information, follow-up voluntary audit forms, recommendations made by loss control, etc.)
  • Process Agency and Direct Bill Audits
  • Process Cancellations and Reinstatements
  • Prepare Insurance Summaries
  • Assist with day to day account management — endorsements, claims
  • Build and Maintain Client Relationship, phone, email and meeting contacts
  • Complete and submit Loss Notices, Mail Claim Follow-up to Insured; follow-up on all open claims and process all claims documentation.
  • Complete check requests payable to Insured at request of AMS for return premium endorsement, audit, and overpayment of premium and mailing to insured.
  • Ensure that actions protect the Agency from claims of liability for errors or omissions and that all tasks are professionally performed.
  • Perform all other assignments as required.

Required:

  • High School diploma required.
  • 6 months - 1 year at least of Commercial Lines experience
  • Minimum two years job experience
  • 4-40 Agent's License required (or must be obtained within 90 days)
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Exceptional telephone demeanor
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
