This position is a mechanical engineering position providing design, development, and production release of JE Technology manufactured Solutions products. Senior Mechanical Engineers must complete PDR, CDR and drive projects to completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Review and confirm regulatory code basis for each project

· Collaborate with other project team members to comply with project requirements and meet project schedules

· Provide mechanical designs as required while complying with OSHA Requirements.

· Provide technical support to external design resources, equipment vendors, and fabricators

· Travel to fabrication shops for meetings, inspections and functional tests, and to customer sites

· Provide direction to fabricators and inspectors with applicable assistance

· Review and approve fabricator and external design drawings, documentation and fabrication sequence

· Lead / facilitate cross-functional meetings as needed to brainstorm creative solutions, troubleshoot problems and ensure projects are on track.

· Perform calculations for loads, heat, and fluid mechanics as required

· Provide project scoping input to ensure estimate accuracy and appropriate materials and methods are utilized in an efficient design

· Provide proposal support by reviewing client specifications and requirements and providing expertise in setting strategy for product offerings

· Acting as liaison with client's representatives in resolving issues related to drawings and specifications.

· Overseeing and making decisions related to contract drawings. Ensuring that all drawings and specifications accurately relate to the estimate.

· Managing the project budget.

· Assessing conformance to contract specifications. Resolving any conflicts in interpretation.

· Negotiating Engineering Change Notices. Managing information on changes in the scope of work; preparing an independent analysis, as required; obtaining and checking estimates for the changes, obtaining approval of the client for changes; and resolving any conflicts.

·Evaluating information to ensure compliance with contract documents.

Requirements:

Requirements and Preferred skills

Excellent time management and communication skills.

5 years proven work experience as a Sr Mechanical Engineer.

Experience from conception to delivery is required.

An ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules and step-by-step action plans.

Strong organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management.

Bachelor Science in Mechanical Engineering.

Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.

Familiarity with risk management and quality assurance control.

5 years strong working knowledge of SolidWorks highly desired.

5 years hands on working knowledge of Micrsoft Office Suite with 2 years experience building power point presentations.

Hands-on experience with blueprint interpretation.

Up to 25% Travel to clients work sites.
