Job Summary:

Assess, develop, and provide comprehensive treatment services and plans utilizing evidence based practices for clients in the Substance Abuse Out-Patient Program.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Masters degree in Social Work , Mental Health Counseling, or related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience: Minimum of three to five years of clinical experience working in substance abuse.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Licensed or Licensed Eligible in the State of Florida (LCSW or LMHC) with CAP


Primary Job Functions:

  • Provide in person and telehealth individual and/or group Outpatient Substance Abuse counseling services.
  • Maintain client files (to include biopsychosocial assessments, HIV Risk screenings, ASAMs, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, relapse prevention plans, progress notes, drug screen results and discharge summaries) in accordance with program standards, DCF Licensing Standards and all funding streams, including Medicaid.
  • Complete all documentation within required timeframes; as stated by contracts, licensing and funding streams.
  • Complete urine drug screens
  • Prepare reports and documentation to remain compliant with contracts (funding streams).
  • Provide professional case consultation to professionals involved in client’s case.
  • Assist clients by providing linkages to community resources and advocate on their behalf.
  • Attends trainings, in service sessions, staff meetings and clinical supervision as required.
  • Works cooperatively as part of a team
  • Other duties as assigned.
