We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Lake Wales, Florida. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to lead accounting operations and play a pivotal role in financial management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be comfortable working onsite to collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

• Manage full-cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.

• Collaborate with the current accounting lead to understand existing practices and assist in documenting and improving procedures.

• Participate in software transition efforts, including hands-on involvement in the implementation and training for Odoo systems.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining accuracy in financial records.

• Work closely with various departments such as purchasing, HR, and invoicing to streamline financial workflows.

• Provide cost accounting expertise to support manufacturing operations and decision-making.

• Develop and maintain department-specific standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency.

• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to guide organizational growth.

• Train and mentor team members as needed, with the possibility of stepping into a management role in the future.

• Collaborate with external auditors and stakeholders to facilitate seamless audits and reviews.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as Odoo or similar systems.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or cost accounting is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ability to work onsite and collaborate effectively with team members.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of payroll systems, with experience using PayCom being a plus.
