About the Role:

As a Patient Access Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient access to healthcare services. You will be responsible for managing patient registration, scheduling appointments, and collecting other important information. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask is essential in ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. You work closely with healthcare providers and other staff members to ensure that patients receive the care they need in a timely and efficient manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field
  • Experience with insurance verification and authorization
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and coding
  • Experience with Epic or other electronic medical records systems

Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient registration and scheduling appointments
  • Verify insurance coverage and collect patient information
  • Ensure that patients receive timely and efficient access to healthcare services
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff members to ensure that patients receive the highest level of care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Skills:

As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will use your strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage patient registration, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance coverage. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in interacting with patients, healthcare providers, and staff members. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems will be necessary to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Preferred qualifications such as knowledge of medical terminology and coding, and experience with Epic or other electronic medical records systems will be beneficial in performing your daily tasks.


Mondays and Fridays 8:30am to 5pm
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:30am to 6pm
