We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in an outpatient setting, assisting physicians and healthcare professionals with various clinical and administrative tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care while maintaining efficient office operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring compliance with medical regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling billing inquiries.
- Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and staff.
- Support coding processes for insurance claims and medical records.
- Demonstrate knowledge of physiology to assist in patient assessments.
- Respond to emergency situations with appropriate medical interventions when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal medicine, dermatology, and other specialty departments as needed.
Skills
- Proficient in outpatient care practices and procedures.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to various specialties.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to healthcare delivery.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and safety measures.
- Familiarity with coding systems for accurate billing and recordkeeping.
- Understanding of physiology concepts to assist in patient evaluations effectively.
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency medicine situations.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical and administrative tasks.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
