The FP&A Analyst plays a critical role in supporting financial planning, variance analysis, and business decision-making processes. This position is responsible for developing forecasts/budgets, performing root cause analysis for variance drivers, and providing insightful financial reporting to support the company's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multiple departments, including Sales, Accounting, and Marketing, to ensure accurate financial analysis and data-driven decision-making.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Create & prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial analysis schedules of actual vs. budget variances. • Prepare detailed annual financial budget and monthly financial forecasts. • Provide financial analysis to support various areas of the company. • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, income statement forecasts etc.), considering the company’s goals and financial standing. • Proactively recommend and implement process improvements. • Assist business leaders with answering financial questions for their departments. • Identify trends and make recommendations based on sound analysis. • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts. • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data. • Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and business intelligence tools. • Ability to work independently and within a team. • Ability to analyze large data sets and provide strategic recommendations. • Strong communication skills and ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE/ SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and/or strong related experience • Minimum (2) years of experience in Finance/Accounting • Sage Intacct accounting software experience highly preferred. • Workday Adaptive software experience highly preferred.
