Role Overview This is a unique, hands-on, and strategic role that blends community engagement, local partnerships, marketing program creation, and social media content creation.. The ideal candidate will spend the majority of their time out in the community—visiting stores, building relationships with local businesses and animal-related non-profits, and driving initiatives that attract new and returning customers to our stores. You’ll be supported by a collaborative, lean, marketing team, including a VP of Marketing, Graphic Designer, Email Marketer, and Operations Manager, as well as the Founder, who actively participates in content creation. This role offers the chance to make a measurable impact in a company on the brink of exciting growth. Key Responsibilities • Community Engagement & Store Visits: Regularly visit DOGPerfect stores to support local marketing efforts, gather insights, and build relationships with customers and store teams. • Partnership Development: Forge and nurture partnerships with local businesses, pet-related organizations, and animal non-profits to create mutually beneficial marketing opportunities. • Marketing Program Development: Design and execute local marketing initiatives and promotions that drive foot traffic and increase customer loyalty. • Social Media Content Creation & Management: Develop, create, and publish engaging content across DOGPerfect’s social media platforms that reflects our brand, promotes events, and highlights our local ownership and community involvement. • Collaboration: Work closely with the Founder and marketing team to align content with overarching marketing strategies; lead content production and social media posting. • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Coordinate with Encompass Pet Group leadership (CRO, VP Marketing, CEO) and internal DOGPerfect teams (Director of Operations, Store Managers, Store Associates) to ensure consistent messaging and successful execution. • Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs and social media campaigns, using data to inform future strategies. Strong Communicator: Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to engage diverse community stakeholders. Creative Storyteller: Skilled at creating authentic, compelling content that resonates with pet lovers and local audiences. Organized & Self-Driven: Able to manage multiple projects independently and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience: ● Previous experience in field marketing, community outreach, or social media management. Can be internships, personal social media, or school related for more junior candidates. ● Familiarity with content creation tools and social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Canva, CapCut, etc.). ● Basic understanding of marketing metrics and reporting.
