Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time, contract speech-language pathologist (SLP) position is available for the 2025-2026 school year, serving K-12 students in Port Saint Lucie, FL. This role provides an opportunity to support a diverse caseload across multiple school settings, including general education, special education, and specialized programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language services to students from preschool through 8th grade, with an emphasis on pediatrics and special populations such as ASD and DHH.
  • Collaborate with educators, therapists, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Provide direct therapy in school and PreK resource room settings.
  • Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and Clinical Fellows (CFs) when applicable.
  • Manage caseloads that vary based on school assignment, typically focused at one campus.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred.
  • Active Florida state speech-language pathology licensure required.
  • Experience in healthcare, pediatrics, school environments, or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates willing to work under supervision.
  • Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) during the school calendar from August 11, 2025, to June 2, 2026.

Assignments include:

  • Serving a K-8 school and a PreK resource room several days per week.
  • Supporting a K-8 school with an ASD unit.
  • Providing services at a PreK complex with nonverbal students experiencing developmental delays.
  • Working at a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) cluster site.
  • Additional opportunities at elementary schools focusing on students with autism spectrum disorder.
