Summary of the role:
The Interior Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and refining design plans, collaborating with the design team on factors like budget, space usage, and aesthetics, and creating practical, and aesthetic spaces.
Key responsibilities:
- Create and refine 3D models of interior elements, apply textures, animate designs, adjust lighting, and produce high-quality renderings to visualize the space.
- Develop initial design ideas and create sketches that align with the clients needs and project objectives.
- Work closely with the design team to discuss critical elements such as budget, architectural preferences, and the spaces intended function.
- Consult with the design head on aspects such as space planning, furniture and equipment placement, and color coordination.
- Continuously improve and refine design concepts to ensure they are practical, visually appealing, and serve the intended purpose.
- Choose, design and purchase artworks, and accessories that complement the overall design and meet functional requirements.
- Use drawing and visualization tools to create clear and detailed representations of design ideas, including sketches and 3D renderings.
- Develop mood boards to reflect the overall atmosphere and aesthetic of the space, and create sample boards for materials, colors, and finishes.
- Follow established style guides to ensure the project maintains a consistent and cohesive design.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Design Director/Senior Interior Designer to support the successful completion of the project.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in interior design or architecture.
- 4-6 years of professional experience in interior design.
- Demonstrable portfolio with a strong experience in delivering high end projects.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in using SketchUp, 3DMax, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and AutoCAD.
- Creative and strategic mindset with ability to think innovatively and execute complete design concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Excellent client-facing communication skills.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
Working conditions and Environment:
- The position is Office based in Florida, Miami.
- The position may require minimal international business travel requirements.
