Job Description:
The Accountant will support the accounting department by performing a variety of light clerical and basic accounting tasks.
Responsibilities include:
- Typing and matching payments with purchase orders
- Preparing bank deposits
- Performing routine calculations
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Handling accounts payable and receivable
- Answering customer inquiries and resolving routine problems or complaints
- Posting and verifying financial data
- Assisting in the maintenance of accurate accounting records
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Experience: Prior experience in accounting functions, including AP/AR and bank reconciliations, preferred
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform routine clerical and financial tasks
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with accounting software and MS Office tools
