A full-year contract opportunity is available for a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) specializing in pediatric outpatient care within a K-12 school setting in Key Largo, FL. This role offers the chance to work in a supportive environment alongside excellent staff, focusing on school-aged children in an outpatient clinic without the need to travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to pediatric clients aged 2 to 18 years.
- Work with children experiencing mild to moderate speech and language challenges, including pragmatics, receptive and expressive language delays, reading and writing difficulties, articulation issues, and high-functioning autism.
- Manage a manageable caseload, typically seeing one child per hour, allowing for a balanced and low-stress workday.
- Collaborate with educational and healthcare professionals to support developmental goals within the school environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in outpatient or school settings.
