Position Description:
The Contract Support Lead – Transformative Solutions is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing contract support operations and ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all contract-related workflows. In addition to fulfilling core contract execution duties, the Lead acts as the first line of management for the business unit, providing guidance, support, training, and direction to team members. This role requires a strong blend of operational expertise, leadership capability, and proactive problem-solving to maintain seamless coordination between internal departments and external partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Management
- Act as the first line of management for the Transformative Solutions contract support team.
- Serve as the primary resource for resolving team member questions and addressing operational challenges.
- Provide daily guidance, onboarding, and structured training to new and existing team members.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment that promotes accountability and continuous learning.
- Establish and maintain a leadership schedule that includes routine check-ins, performance reviews, and workflow planning.
- Collaborate closely with the President/General Manager of Transformative Solutions.
- Responsible for conducting Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) reviews for all contracts assigned to the Transformative Solutions Business Unit.
Contract Execution & Fulfillment
- Manage customer contracts to ensure 100% fulfillment of terms and delivery commitments.
- Review and evaluate documents, materials, and products for accuracy and adherence to contract specifications and standards.
- Monitor customer sales order workflows and adjust schedules to mitigate risks related to labor, materials, or priorities.
- Collaborate with supervisors and stakeholders to assess operational progress and implement required adjustments.
- Coordinate internal and external shipping activities, resolve complaints, and manage timelines to avoid delays.
- Compile accurate status reports and maintain detailed contract documentation.
- Verify compliance with shipping, export, and payment policies and procedures.
- Approve sales orders in accordance with regulatory requirements and trade compliance standards.
- Complete Vendor End User Statements to ensure export compliance and adherence to contractual obligations.
Performance Metrics & Reporting
- Track and report key performance metrics, including contract turnaround time, accuracy rates, issue resolution timeframes, and customer satisfaction indicators.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase team efficiency and reduce error rates.
- Develop and maintain dashboards or reports for internal review and cross-functional coordination.
- Escalate unresolved issues, risks, or policy exceptions to the Director of Operations in a timely and structured manner.
- Conduct monthly reviews of backlog and revenue forecasts for active contracts to support financial planning and operational decision-making.

Experience, Knowledge, and Skills Requirements:
- Associate degree (AA) preferred; Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Supply Chain, or related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in customer service or contract support roles.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with defense/government contracting and export regulations (FAR/DFARS, ITAR, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Skillful in communicating assertively and tactfully.
- Capable of collaborating effectively within a team or working autonomously.
- High level of organizational discipline and attention to detail.
