Shuttle Driver

BASIC FUNCTION
The Slipaway shuttle driver provides transportation for guests and employees, ensuring timely and safe arrivals and departures along a set route or on-demand. In addition to driving, this position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to act as a Slipaway ambassador, answering guest questions and providing a positive first and last impression. A Slipaway shuttle driver is responsible for safely and courteously transporting guests between Slipaway properties, remote parking lot and other designated destinations. As a highly visible member of the guest services staff, the driver provides excellent customer service, assists guests, and maintains the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
<ul>
<li>Guest transportation: Safely transport guests and employees to and from designated locations in a timely manner. This includes trips within the Slipaway, to remote parking lot and other designated locations</li>
<li>Customer service: Greet guests warmly, assist with boarding and exiting the vehicle.</li>
<li>Guest information: Answer questions about Slipaway’s facilities, services, and local points of interest. Make recommendations as appropriate.</li>
<li>Vehicle maintenance and safety:
<ul>
<li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, including checking tires, fluids, and fuel levels.</li>
<li>Keep the vehicle clean and presentable, both inside and out, at all times.</li>
<li>Report any vehicle damage, safety concerns, or maintenance needs to management immediately.</li>
<li>Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Operational communication: Communicate with the guest service team, and other drivers via radio to coordinate schedules, report delays, and respond to guest requests.</li>
<li>Administrative tasks: Maintain accurate records of trips, including passenger counts and mileage. </li>
</ul>
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

<li>A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.</li>
<li>A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a passenger endorsement may be required, depending on the size of the vehicle.</li>
<li>Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.</li>
<li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.</li>
<li>Physical ability to lift heavy luggage, up to 50 lbs., and sit or stand for long periods. </li>
