Case types typically include: medical malpractice, nursing home/assisted living facility neglect, failure to use an AED in a public place, sexual assault, product liability, negligent security, vehicular wrongful death, and others. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in medical malpractice, a strong understanding of litigation procedures, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently.

JOB DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Assist attorneys in case preparation, including drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and discovery requests. Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists. </li>
<li>Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. </li>
<li>Manage all aspects of cases in litigation and pre-suit.</li>
<li>Coordinates with experts, drafts Notices of intent, and responds to discovery for nursing home, assisted living, and medical malpractice cases. </li>
<li>Conduct legal research to support case strategy and prepare legal documents.</li>
<li>Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and other legal documents. Ensure compliance with court rules and deadlines. </li>
<li>Manage the discovery litigation process by preparing discovery requests, responses, and documentation.</li>
<li>Assist attorneys during trial preparation and proceedings, including exhibits, coordinating witness appearances, and managing trial planning. </li>
<li>Perform administrative tasks as needed.</li>

Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul>
<li>Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies, Bachelor's Degree, or Paralegal certification (e.g., from FRP), required.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a paralegal with a focus on litigation. </li>
<li>Strong understanding of the litigation process, legal terms, and court procedures.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication and interaction with fellow teams and attorneys.</li>
<li>Solid organizational skills, ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases (e.g., Lexis Nexis, Westlaw)</li>
</ul>
 
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office setting as well as working out in the field with the public at events. This role routinely uses standard office equipment: manual dexterity, physical mobility, and some physical strength/stamina.
