Job DescriptionAccounting Manager - Direct Hire Opportunity
Location: Wellington, FL (Primarily in office; minimal travel to other locations)
Employment Type: Full time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $90k-$95k
About the Role
Oversee accounting operations for a multi-location equipment dealership, managing financials for 19 locations and consolidating reports. You'll lead core accounting functions, strengthen controls, and partner closely with operations leadership to deliver accurate, timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and General Accounting teams (six direct reports).
- Compile and analyze monthly financial statements; manage month end close and perform financial analysis.
- Ensure adaptability to in-house and dealership-specific software (currently CDK).
- Foster a collaborative environment support and guide team members and improve processes without imposing abrupt changes.
- Maintain strong internal controls, compliance, and accurate consolidations across 19 locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Accounting required.
- CPA preferred (not required).
- Experience in dealership accounting or public accounting valued.
- Demonstrated leadership managing multi function accounting teams and multi entity consolidations.
- Proficiency with CDK or similar dealer management/ERP systems; strong Excel/analysis skills; excellent communication.
Work Setting
This position is primarily in office with minimal travel to other locations.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
