The Director of Florida Operations will be a key leader in advancing the Company vision. In this role you will oversee all aspects of project management and field operations, ensuring alignment with our strategic goals. This includes driving project delivery, strengthening client partnerships, fostering high-performing teams, and ensuring profitability and quality on all projects.

Position description

  • Lead, develop, and retain project management and field teams to ensure high performance, accountability, and cultural alignment.
  • Direct strategy and execution for project management and field operations to ensure alignment with our company vision and goals.
  • Partner with executive leadership to align operations with long-term divisional growth priorities.
  • Oversee staffing strategies, resource allocation, and workforce planning to ensure project

teams are effectively resourced.

  • Ensure alignment of talent deployment with project priorities and profitability goals.
  • Monitor team performance and capacity to adjust resourcing as needed.
  • Oversee risk management practices across operations to protect financial performance, quality, and client trust.
  • Implement systems to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational and project risks.
  • Champion safety across all projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and

regulatory requirements.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Provide executive oversight to resolve major client or project concerns, ensuring trust and confidence.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction, business development, and leadership teams to ensure alignment of client expectations with delivery capabilities.
  • Represent ​the company in external forums, industry associations, and community events to

strengthen market presence.

  • Ensure client feedback is captured and integrated into operational improvements.
  • Ensure financial performance of project management and field operations is on target and in alignment with divisional goals. Including project delivery supports margin, cash flow, and long-term financial stability.
  • Inform operational budget, monitor functional P&L, forecasts, and project financials to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with finance and leadership teams to establish performance targets and accountability metrics.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance cost efficiency and financial outcomes.

Experience candidate will possess:

  • Education and experience: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. 15 years of progressive industry experience in commercial construction, with a demonstrated track record of leading projects, managing teams, and overseeing all aspects of a company's construction operations.
  • Construction Background: Expert level of understanding of construction means and methods; knowledge of federal, state, and local building codes, ordinances and regulations; ability to negotiate and manage contractual arrangements; and fiscal management experience.
  • Eye for Details: Accuracy is critical for success in this role. Candidates must have superior organizational, communication (both written and verbal) and decision-making skills.
  • Tech-know-how: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, experience with project management software(s), Bluebeam, scheduling software etc.
  • Leadership: Capacity to inspire and motivate others, manage team dynamics, and guide individuals toward achieving common goals.
  • Operations Acumen: Strong understanding of construction management operations, project delivery and field practices with the ability to align them to business objectives.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term plans and align team efforts with organizational goals to drive success and growth.
  • Risk & Safety Management: Strong grasp of risk mitigation practices and safety leadership in construction environments.
