Job Summary
As a Lowboy Truck Driver, you will be responsible for loading, securing, and transporting heavy equipment to and from construction sites. This position requires a skilled and safety-conscious driver who can operate trucks and trailers in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload heavy construction equipment.
- Transport equipment to various job sites in a timely manner.
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete required paperwork for billing and compliance.
- Monitor vehicle performance and report issues as needed.
- Ensure truck is kept clean, maintained, and in proper working condition.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Assist with minor maintenance and service tasks as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements:Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience operating heavy trucks, preferably in construction.
- Must pass DOT drug, alcohol, and background screening.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality required.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as heavy lifting, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and securing loads.
- Must comply with all company and DOT safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid CDL A or B license.
- Must maintain current DOT certifications and comply with Clearinghouse requirements.
Physical Requirements
This position involves frequent physical activity including climbing, lifting, balancing, bending, and extended periods of driving. Must have good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity. Ability to tarp and untarp loads when required.
