HIGH LEVEL OVERVIEW
Customs Entry Writer will be responsible for managing all aspects of customs brokerage operations and ensuring seamless cargo movement and compliance with U.S. Customs and other government agencies.
This position is hybrid (2 days in office) near Orlando, FL.
EXPECTATIONS
• Review, prepare, and submit accurate import entry filing
• Work with U.S. Customs and Other Government Agencies to resolve delays in a timely manner
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, trucking companies, and warehouses to track cargo
• Keep clients and stakeholders informed on clearance status and logistics arrangements
• Arrange transportation to final destinations
• Review and approve vendor and client invoices
• Manage post entry corrections and customs requests for information (CF28/29)
• Maintain excellent customer relations through clear and consistent communication
ESSENTIALS
• 2 years of experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding
• Strong knowledge of HTS classification, incoterms, and import procedures for air and ocean freight
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Highly organized with the ability to multitask and solve problems efficiently
• Proficient in relevant computer systems and software (CargoWise, ACE Portal, MS Excel, etc.)
