Cold Line/Prep Team Member Mission
We are looking for an ambitious Line/Prep Cook to assist in the preparation of delicious dishes in the kitchen. You’ll perform routine kitchen tasks such as setting up workstations and ingredients, so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
A great line/prep cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team. If you have restaurant industry experience and a passion for food prep and strong customer service, we want you!
Responsibilities
- Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items
- Maintain accurate food inventories
- Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures
- Rotate stock items as per established procedures
- Restock for subsequent shifts
- Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift
Requirements
- Be able to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time

- Ability to read, understand and carry out task per plate or recipe guide
- Ability to take, understand and use constructive criticism to produce the best you and the best product
- Ability to bend, stop, kneel, and twist
- Ability to sit, stand and do repetitive work for long periods of time
- Ability to read, write, identify, and verify numbers
- Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions
- Must maintain personal hygiene in accordance with Fitlife standards
- Physical Requirements: Standing up to 10 hours, lifting up to 35 lbs., work in cold environment, reaching, pulling, repetitive use of hands
Work Environment
Temperatures could range from 36 degrees to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Boots and jackets are provided at no charge if working under refrigeration.
