Overview: Celebration Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance and Billing Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in managing insurance processes and billing operations within our pediatric dental practice, ensuring efficient and accurate handling of insurance verifications, claims, and patient billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification: Conduct insurance verifications for patients prior to their appointments, ensuring all necessary information is collected and documented.
- Claims Management: Process insurance claims and follow up on any outstanding claims or denials.
- Patient Communication: Communicate effectively with patients regarding their insurance coverage, benefits, and any out-of-pocket expenses.
- Billing Operations: Assist in the preparation and submission of billing statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Record Maintenance: Manage and maintain accurate medical records, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of patient information handling.
- Staff Training: Assist in the training of new staff members on insurance processes and office protocols.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience in a dental office environment is required. Familiarity with managed care systems and processes is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient understanding of medical terminology and coding practices. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers.
- Knowledge: Experience with insurance verification processes and handling medical records is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards is required.
