Position Overview:
Palm House is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Manager to lead and manage our housekeeping department. As a key member of the leadership team, the Housekeeping Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the housekeeping operation to ensure the highest level of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and team performance across guest rooms and public spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day housekeeping operations, ensuring all areas of the property meet or exceed cleanliness and quality standards.
- Supervise, schedule, and manage housekeeping staff, including room attendants, and public area cleaners.
- Perform regular inspections of guest rooms, hallways, and common areas to ensure standards are upheld.
- Train, mentor, and support housekeeping staff to maintain consistent service and safety standards.
- Maintain adequate inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities; coordinate with purchasing when stock needs replenishing.
- Collaborate with the front desk and maintenance departments to address guest requests, room readiness, and any operational issues.
- Implement and uphold health and safety standards, including sanitation protocols and OSHA compliance.
- Monitor department budgets, labor costs, and productivity targets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Handle guest concerns related to housekeeping with professionalism and follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
- Support onboarding and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or housekeeping management certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a hotel or resort housekeeping environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in basic computer systems, including housekeeping software and MS Office.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., linens, cleaning supplies).
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to reach, stretch, stoop, and squat in performing cleaning tasks and inspections.
