Job DescriptionKENTECH Consulting Inc., an award-winning investigations and background technology company, is seeking a dedicated, accountable, and growth-minded Bookkeeper to take ownership of our financial processes. This is a full-time role for someone who not only brings strong technical skills in bookkeeping but also wants to elevate the function, streamline operations, and grow alongside our fast-scaling company.

Responsibilities


Accounts Payable (AP)


  • Manage AP through Bill.com with accountability for accuracy and timeliness.

  • Maintain a zero-inbox system for all incoming bills.

  • Accurately chart and categorize expenses in Bill.com.

  • Manage approval workflows and simplify monthly payments with approval-button automation.

Accounts Receivable (AR)


  • Take full ownership of client billing across multiple platforms and optimize for efficiency.

  • Export, normalize, and import data into QuickBooks.

  • Monitor AR aging reports, send reminders, and manage expired credit card follow-ups.

  • Oversee specialized client billing (PayPal, government portals, and other unique client systems).

Bank Reconciliation


  • Perform monthly reconciliations across up to five bank accounts in QuickBooks.

  • Ensure all accounts are accurate, reconciled, and audit-ready.

Process & Growth Leadership


  • Identify areas to streamline and standardize bookkeeping processes.

  • Build scalable systems for a growing company.

  • Provide reporting and financial insights to leadership to drive decision-making.

  • Serve as a trusted financial partner within the organization.

Qualifications


  • 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.

  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Bill.com (certifications or 2+ years experience required).

  • Ability to manage complexity, ensure accuracy, and maintain confidentiality.

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and dependability.

  • Leadership and communication skills ability to take ownership and drive improvements.

  • Experience in small business/start-up environments a plus.

Education / Preferred Credentials


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA designation is a plus.

  • Previous experience in high-growth or entrepreneurial companies strongly preferred.
