About the Role

Client is seeking an experienced, detail-driven Survey Manager to lead and oversee survey operations from project kickoff through final delivery. In this key leadership role, you'll manage field and office teams, coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders, develop methodologies, ensure data accuracy, and guide projects to successful, on-time completion.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, a commitment to quality, and the leadership skills to mentor staff while supporting our mission of delivering accurate, actionable insights that drive smart planning and decision-making.

What You'll Do

Project & Team Leadership

  • Oversee and manage survey projects from conception through completion.
  • Lead and mentor survey teams, providing guidance, training, and technical support.
  • Coordinate with clients, internal departments, and field personnel, including onsite interactions with client representatives.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure high-quality outcomes.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Design and implement survey methodologies, workflows, and data collection strategies.
  • Ensure all survey activities follow company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze complex survey data and prepare detailed reports, drawings, and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct quality control reviews and continuously improve survey processes and best practices.
  • Maintain strict data security, confidentiality, and compliance with ethical standards.

Collaboration & Strategic Impact

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate survey findings into broader planning and engineering initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and clients.
  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Stay current on industry trends, technology advancements, and evolving survey methodologies.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Identify hazardous situations and enforce company safety procedures.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Equipment & Tools You'll Use

Total Station, GPS Levels, Rods, Field Books, Machetes, Data Collectors, Computers, Trucks, 4-Wheel Off-Road Vehicles, and Small Boats.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • PSM License or the ability to obtain it within 6 months of hire.
  • 5+ years of experience in survey management or related leadership roles.
  • Proficiency with survey software, GPS/RTK systems, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a track record of managing multiple projects at once.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze complex technical data with accuracy.
  • Experience developing and implementing survey methodologies and quality control processes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of preparing high-quality technical reports and presentations.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience mentoring and developing junior staff.
  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and ethical standards related to survey work.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, planners, and external partners.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
