Business development coordination involves the development of strategies and implementation of new engagement initiatives throughout the Hill Robinson Group to maximise new business opportunities, while also ensuring the retention of existing clientele.

Working with the President of Hill Robinson USA, the Business Development Coordinator will work to support a variety of initiatives for new business engagement including special events, brokerage support, charter support and crew recruitment projects. This role is centered on supporting relationships with clients to ensure that their needs are met, they are satisfied with the services and / or products provided by the Hill Robinson and Moravia Yachting brands, and any challenges are overcome.


Business development coordination involves the development of strategies and implementation of new marketing initiatives throughout the Hill Robinson Group to maximise new business opportunities, while also ensuring the retention of existing clientele.

Working with the Marketing Department, the Business Development Coordinator will work to support a variety of initiatives for new business streams including digital campaigns, special events, brokerage support, charter support and crew recruitment projects. This role is centered on supporting relationships with clients to ensure that their needs are met, they are satisfied with the services and / or products provided by the Hill Robinson and Moravia Yachting brands, and any challenges are overcome.

As the Business Development Coordinator, you will be involved facilitating the building and nurturing relationships with prospective clients in the luxury yacht community to provide and sell Hill Robinson and Moravia Yachting services and coordinate those opportunities to the sales and marketing teams. This position also involves researching, monitoring, and analysing industry trends.

This is a vital marketing role, where you must be an exemplar ambassador for the Hill Robinson and Moravia Yachting brands, upholding the reputation for excellence and innovation.


Client Management

  • Attend client meetings with members of the client services team to assist and support; understand and help to meet the goals and aims of the client by leveraging and utilizing Hill Robinson services.
  • Collect client feedback about their experiences.
  • Identify potential improvements on board and cross selling opportunities and organise proposals / quotes as required in cooperation with the Yacht Manager and Captain.
  • Yacht visits, basic inspections relating to yacht management and / or new central agency onboarding; assist with onboarding new clients.
  • Attend charter inspection visits, technical surveys together with charter managers, compliance, and technical managers
  • Support the Charter Managers in planning for shows/receptions/events onboard and ashore.



New Business Opportunities

  • Meet with new clients to establish their needs.
  • Identify opportunities for cross selling the Hill Robinson Group services; give presentations to clients about products or services.
  • Identify new connections and develop new relationships in areas with opportunity, particularly in the luxury markets and with UHNWI.
  • Research industry trends and provide advise colleagues about client strategy for new business opportunities. Be a prominent figure to represent Hill Robinson in and at various industry associations and events and leverage the Groups expertise.


  • Proposal and Material Coordination:

Assisting in the preparation and coordination of proposals, presentations, and other sales materials.

  • Communication and Collaboration:

Collaborating with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business development strategies.


Marketing Support:

  • Support the US Marketing Manager in planning for shows/receptions/events onboard and ashore.

  • Social media initiatives.


Brokerage Support:

  • Assist Moravia Sales Brokers as required, including develop action plan to sign new sales CAs, prepare CA sales proposals, yacht sales CA marketing campaigns, direct marketing outreach to purchase clients.
  • Working with the Moravia brokers, coordinate any open houses or special events on board CA yachts.
  • Participate in the development of cruising itineraries.

New Business Opportunities:

  • Participate in identifying opportunities for cross selling the Hill Robinson Group services; assist with presentations to clients about products or services.
  • Identify new connections and assist with developing new opportunities, particularly in the luxury markets and with UHNWI.
  • Research industry trends and collaborate with colleagues about client strategy for new business opportunities.
  • Administer the planning of curated special events for Hill Robinson and Moravia Yachting.
  • From time to time, represent Hill Robinson in and at various industry associations and events and leverage the Groups expertise.

Client Management:

  • From time to time, attend client meetings with members of the client services team to assist and support; understand and help to meet the goals and aims of the client by leveraging and utilizing Hill Robinson services.
  • Maintain and update CRM Salesforce database as required.


Customer Service Excellence:

  • Deliver the best solutions to all stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Constantly reviewing potential for improving and delivering superior Customer Services
  • Proactive interaction and cooperation with all stakeholders.
