Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Boca Raton, Florida. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with extensive expertise in managing accounting functions, performing financial analyses, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Responsibilities:
• Manage general ledger activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, leasing, and journal entries.
• Perform month-end close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Reconcile and analyze balance sheets and profit-and-loss statements to support decision-making.
• Handle treasury functions, including cash reconciliations across multiple banks and currencies.
• Collaborate on intercompany transactions and foreign currency exposure (FX) management.
• Provide support during external audits, including preparation of documentation and coordination with auditors for statutory audits.
• Review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze financial data and optimize reporting processes.
• Work effectively within a team to meet deadlines and adapt to a high-paced environment.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the duration of the project, with potential extensions.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degrees such as a Master’s in Accounting or Finance are preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting within large organizations.
• Proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with foreign currency transactions, intercompany transactions, and FX exposure.
• Familiarity with general ledger functions, including AR, AP, fixed assets, leasing, and journal entries.
• Proven ability to manage treasury functions and cash reconciliations.
• Experience with external audits and statutory audits for international entities is a plus.
