POSITIONSummary:


Responsibleforallactivitiesrelatedtoleadership,direction,andresourcesforanetworkofemployeesandindependentsalesreps.TheRVP/VPwillworkwitheachrepofficetoevaluatestrengthsandchallengesandsuggestopportunitiesanddevelopprogramsforsuccess.Willberesponsibleforaligningsalesobjectiveswithcompanystrategywhilebeingheldaccountablefortheprofitableachievementofsalesgoals.


EssentialPOSITIONFunctions


LeadershipFunctionsandResponsibilities:


  • Alignsthebusinesstocompanygoalsandsalesobjectivesthroughactiveparticipationinstrategicplanning,gapstrategydevelopment,forecasting,salesresourceplanning,andbudgeting.
  • Meetsassignedtargetsforprofitablesalesvolume,marketshare,andotherkeyfinancialperformanceobjectives.Leadandmanagethesalesorganizationutilizingsalesactionplans,expensebudgets,competitivelyvaluedproposals,andhighlytargetedsalescampaigns,whileoperatingwithinestablishedbudgetaryandbusinessguidelines.
  • Prepareanddeliversalespresentationstocloselargeopportunities.Actassalesleaderandcompanyrepresentativetocustomers,assesstheneedforseniorsalesorexecutiveleadershiptoparticipateinorbepresentforcustomermeetingsandnextsteps.
  • Handlesescalatedsalesissuesandassistsinprovidingcustomer-facingrepresentationtoresolveanyconcernsonbehalfofthecompany.


RepresentativeManagementResponsibilities:


  • Leadslearninganddevelopmentinitiativesimpactingthesalesorganizationandprovidesstewardshipofsalesandsalesmanagementtalent.TheRVP/VPoverseestheeffectivedeliveryoftraininganddevelopmentprogramstotheirteams,activelymonitorslearninganddevelopmentoutcomestoensureactiveengagementandimplementationindailyactivities.
  • Providesleadershipandmotivationtothesalesteam,whilefosteringacultureofaccountability,trust,adaptability,professionaldevelopment,high-performance,andethicalbehavior.Developandmodelstherightbehaviorsforthesalesteamthroughon-the-jobtraining,coaching,andmanagingtoperformancestandards.
  • Leadssalesorganizationschangeinitiativesbycontinuouslyassessingtheneedsofsalesandpartneringwithseniorsalesleaderstoraiseconcernsandprovidesolutions,bestpractices,andofferimprovementswhilesimultaneouslyremovingobstacles,inlinewithcompanyestablishedguidelines.
  • PartnerswithotherRVPs,functionalsharedservicessuchasFinance,HR,andITtosupportkeyinitiatives,budgetplanningcycles.
  • Leadershipresponsibilitiesincludeinterviewing,hiring,andtrainingemployees;planning,assigning,anddirectingworkofsalesleadersandteamsappraisingperformance;rewardinganddiscipliningemployees;addressingcomplaintsandresolvingproblems.


MarketFunctionsandResponsibilities:


  • Establishesandmaintainsproductivepeer-to-peerrelationshipswithcustomersandprospects.
  • Monitorsandanalyzescompetitivetrendsacrosstheregiontoactivelyassistsalesteamsindevelopingterritorysalesstrategies.Workindependentlyandinclosecooperationwithsalestofosterandsecureopportunities,includingdevelopingandrefiningpresentations,RFPresponses,paneldiscussionsetc.
  • Studyandcommunicatemarkettrendsandmanageexpertconsultingwhilefosteringrelationshipswithdistrictadministratorsandkeycontactstoheightenawarenessofthecompany,themission,andtheproductsandservices.
  • Maintaincommunicationwithkeycustomersbydevelopingclosebusinessrelationshipstomonitormarketconditionswhileremainingalerttonewbusinessopportunitiesandtoensureon-goingaccountservicinginamannerthatmaximizescustomersatisfaction.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:


  • BachelorsdegreefromaccreditedU.Sbasedcollegeinbusinessadministration,marketing,orrelatedfieldofstudyisrequired.
  • Atotalprofessionalexperiencebaseofatleast5years,withpriorexperiencesellingandasaSalesteamleader.
  • Specificexperiencesellingintotheeducation/schoolindustry
  • Aproventrackrecordofperformance,wheretimelinesareachieved,anddeadlinesareconsistentlymetdetailorientedanddriventosucceed.
  • ExperiencewithMicrosoftOfficeisrequired.


TRAVEL:Mustbewillingtotravelasneeded,typicallylessthan20%.
