Responsibleforallactivitiesrelatedtoleadership,direction,andresourcesforanetworkofemployeesandindependentsalesreps.TheRVP/VPwillworkwitheachrepofficetoevaluatestrengthsandchallengesandsuggestopportunitiesanddevelopprogramsforsuccess.Willberesponsibleforaligningsalesobjectiveswithcompanystrategywhilebeingheldaccountablefortheprofitableachievementofsalesgoals.
EssentialPOSITIONFunctions
LeadershipFunctionsandResponsibilities:
- Alignsthebusinesstocompanygoalsandsalesobjectivesthroughactiveparticipationinstrategicplanning,gapstrategydevelopment,forecasting,salesresourceplanning,andbudgeting.
- Meetsassignedtargetsforprofitablesalesvolume,marketshare,andotherkeyfinancialperformanceobjectives.Leadandmanagethesalesorganizationutilizingsalesactionplans,expensebudgets,competitivelyvaluedproposals,andhighlytargetedsalescampaigns,whileoperatingwithinestablishedbudgetaryandbusinessguidelines.
- Prepareanddeliversalespresentationstocloselargeopportunities.Actassalesleaderandcompanyrepresentativetocustomers,assesstheneedforseniorsalesorexecutiveleadershiptoparticipateinorbepresentforcustomermeetingsandnextsteps.
- Handlesescalatedsalesissuesandassistsinprovidingcustomer-facingrepresentationtoresolveanyconcernsonbehalfofthecompany.
RepresentativeManagementResponsibilities:
- Leadslearninganddevelopmentinitiativesimpactingthesalesorganizationandprovidesstewardshipofsalesandsalesmanagementtalent.TheRVP/VPoverseestheeffectivedeliveryoftraininganddevelopmentprogramstotheirteams,activelymonitorslearninganddevelopmentoutcomestoensureactiveengagementandimplementationindailyactivities.
- Providesleadershipandmotivationtothesalesteam,whilefosteringacultureofaccountability,trust,adaptability,professionaldevelopment,high-performance,andethicalbehavior.Developandmodelstherightbehaviorsforthesalesteamthroughon-the-jobtraining,coaching,andmanagingtoperformancestandards.
- Leadssalesorganizationschangeinitiativesbycontinuouslyassessingtheneedsofsalesandpartneringwithseniorsalesleaderstoraiseconcernsandprovidesolutions,bestpractices,andofferimprovementswhilesimultaneouslyremovingobstacles,inlinewithcompanyestablishedguidelines.
- PartnerswithotherRVPs,functionalsharedservicessuchasFinance,HR,andITtosupportkeyinitiatives,budgetplanningcycles.
- Leadershipresponsibilitiesincludeinterviewing,hiring,andtrainingemployees;planning,assigning,anddirectingworkofsalesleadersandteamsappraisingperformance;rewardinganddiscipliningemployees;addressingcomplaintsandresolvingproblems.
MarketFunctionsandResponsibilities:
- Establishesandmaintainsproductivepeer-to-peerrelationshipswithcustomersandprospects.
- Monitorsandanalyzescompetitivetrendsacrosstheregiontoactivelyassistsalesteamsindevelopingterritorysalesstrategies.Workindependentlyandinclosecooperationwithsalestofosterandsecureopportunities,includingdevelopingandrefiningpresentations,RFPresponses,paneldiscussionsetc.
- Studyandcommunicatemarkettrendsandmanageexpertconsultingwhilefosteringrelationshipswithdistrictadministratorsandkeycontactstoheightenawarenessofthecompany,themission,andtheproductsandservices.
- Maintaincommunicationwithkeycustomersbydevelopingclosebusinessrelationshipstomonitormarketconditionswhileremainingalerttonewbusinessopportunitiesandtoensureon-goingaccountservicinginamannerthatmaximizescustomersatisfaction.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- BachelorsdegreefromaccreditedU.Sbasedcollegeinbusinessadministration,marketing,orrelatedfieldofstudyisrequired.
- Atotalprofessionalexperiencebaseofatleast5years,withpriorexperiencesellingandasaSalesteamleader.
- Specificexperiencesellingintotheeducation/schoolindustry
- Aproventrackrecordofperformance,wheretimelinesareachieved,anddeadlinesareconsistentlymetdetailorientedanddriventosucceed.
- ExperiencewithMicrosoftOfficeisrequired.
TRAVEL:Mustbewillingtotravelasneeded,typicallylessthan20%.
