Position Summary
The Payment Analyst will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely review, reconciliation, and resolution of payment discrepancies related to monthly capitation payments and provider transactions. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with both internal teams and external providers to resolve payment issues and recover funds owed to the organization.
Key Responsibilities
· Review monthly capitation payments to identify any underpayments or overpayments.
· Reconcile overpayments made to network providers and coordinate repayment or adjustments.
· Initiate and follow up on recoupment activities to recover monies owed to the organization.
· Send delinquent provider accounts to collections if internal recoupment efforts are unsuccessful.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date payment and reconciliation records.
· Work collaboratively with Finance, Provider Relations, and other departments to ensure timely resolution of payment discrepancies.
· Prepare periodic reports summarizing reconciliation activity and payment variances.
· Respond to provider inquiries regarding payment adjustments, recoupment processes, and collections.
· Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance payment accuracy and efficiency.
Qualifications
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
· 2+ years of experience in healthcare finance, claims, or payment reconciliation (managed care experience preferred).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reconciliation tools.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

We are a tax-exempt, charitable non-profit corporation that is funded through government grants and private donations.
The Rainbow Intergenerational Learning Center and Child Care Program provides an opportunity for children to develop their maximum potential. The service is offered to working for low-income families. By providing them with access to safe, quality child care services, children of low-income families are prepared to compete on an equal basis with other children of better economic means.
By identifying the obstacles that prevent children from learning, the program enables its children to develop the skills necessary to succeed in their school life.
In addition, parents will find a safe, professional, loving, and culturally sensitive environment for children while they become better informed on issues relative to child rearing.
Rainbow Child Care Services are offered to children between the ages of 0 through 5. This program is offered on a sliding scale fee and subsided services are also available.
