Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate plays a critical role in the safe handling, storage, and movement of household goods and commercial items within our warehouse and during loading and unloading operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, teamwork, and a strong commitment to safety and customer property care.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, move, and store household goods, furniture, and freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, lift vans, or manual handling.
- Sort, stage, and organize items prior to loading and unloading.
- Pack, repack, seal, pad, and protect items using appropriate materials to prevent damage during transport or storage.
- Install protective devices such as padding, bracing, strapping, and shrink wrap.
- Stack and secure goods in warehouse vaults, trailers, containers, or storage locations using pallets or cargo boards.
- Attach identifying tags, labels, or markings to items and containers.
- Read work orders, inventories, manifests, and shipping documents to determine assignments and verify accuracy.
- Verify shipments against inventory records and document discrepancies or damages.
- Record shipment data including weights, damages, locations, and inventory movements.
- Maintain accurate storage locator records for warehouse items.
- Safely operate warehouse and moving equipment in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment at all times.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding work assignments and issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse and moving operations.

Qualifications & Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience as a warehouse associate, mover, or general laborer preferred
- Shipping, receiving, inventory, or material handling experience a plus
- Forklift experience preferred (certification a plus)
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed
- Strong basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Physically capable of performing strenuous work in varying weather conditions
