Welcome to St. Pete Athletic.
We’re not just launching a club—we’re building a community, a standard, and a vibe. Think urban country club. St. Pete Athletic is where sport, hospitality, and social energy collide. With 14 pickleball courts, 2 padel courts, dedicated table tennis spaces, a full-service restaurant and bar, and amenities ranging from coworking to wellness to a garden oasis—it’s a place to play, connect, and belong.
But our real secret? Hospitality. The kind you feel, not just see. We believe in creating moments that surprise and delight. And we’re looking for Food Runners who live and breathe that philosophy.
The Opportunity
As a Food Runner, you are an essential ambassador of St. Pete Athletic’s luxury hospitality. This is more than a logistical role—you’ll deliver food and beverages with precision, maintain service areas to exacting brand standards, and engage members and guests with warmth and professionalism.
You’ll work seamlessly between courtside, dining, coffee bar, and events, ensuring smooth transitions and supporting the Floor Concierge and service teams so they can excel. This is a role for someone polished, energetic, and detail-oriented, who loves being part of a fast-moving team that sets the tone for extraordinary guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Luxury Guest Engagement
- Greet members and guests warmly, using names when known, and escort them to courtside, coffee bar, or dining.
- Anticipate guest needs by recognizing preferences, offering refills proactively, and assisting discreetly during play or conversation.
- Act as a brand ambassador by communicating club offerings, upcoming events, and membership benefits with confidence.
- Maintain an approachable, polished presence and professional posture throughout the shift.
Service Excellence
- Deliver food and beverages promptly from kitchen or bar to the appropriate location, ensuring standards of temperature, presentation, and garnishes.
- Confirm dietary requirements and allergy considerations are handled discreetly and accurately.
- Support beverage service for private events, including setup, tray passing, batch preparation, and breakdown.
- Assist concierges and teammates by anticipating their needs just as much as the guests’.
- Execute seamless service transitions between courtside, dining, coffee bar, and events with clear communication.
Operational Readiness & Cleanliness
- Maintain cleanliness and organization across service stations, coffee bar, lobby seating, towels, hydration stations, lockers, and restrooms.
- Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing duties including restocking, cleanliness checks, and reporting issues to supervisors.
- Monitor and replenish guest amenities proactively, resolving issues before they affect the guest experience.
Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate with kitchen, bar, event, and floor teams to ensure precise timing and fulfillment of special requests.
- Attend pre-shift briefings to review VIPs, special menu items, and upcoming events.
- Support and mentor new team members to uphold brand standards and service consistency.
Standards & Safety
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines, reporting incidents immediately.
- Follow emergency response protocols and assist with guest safety or evacuation calmly and professionally.
- Complete required training on service standards, menu knowledge, and safety within designated timelines.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, carry trays/items up to 30 lbs, and work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.
Who You Are
- You thrive in fast-paced, hospitality-driven environments.
- You’re polished, approachable, and detail-focused.
- You take pride in delivering seamless service and anticipating needs.
- You’re adaptable, moving fluidly between different service settings.
- You love working as part of a team that values excellence and joy.
Our Promise to You
At St. Pete Athletic, we want this to be one of the best jobs you’ve ever had. That means:
- A supportive team culture built on kindness, excellence, and joy.
- Opportunities to learn across multiple areas of hospitality.
- The chance to be part of a community that values connection as much as service.
Compensation & Benefits
- $15/hour + share of tips.
- Opportunity to enroll in company health insurance plans.
- Flexible scheduling (part-time or full-time).
- Opportunities for advancement in an opening club.
- Employee discount for club membership (includes F&B and retail preferred pricing).
