Position Summary
As a Team Member at H&H Bagels, you are the face of our brand and a key part of creating a welcoming, energetic experience for every guest. You will be responsible for preparing and serving our signature bagels and menu items, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized store. This role is perfect for someone who is friendly, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and serve customers with a positive attitude and high level of customer service
- Prepare bagels, spreads, sandwiches, salads, and other menu items according to H&H Bagels’ quality standards and recipes
- Maintain consistent portioning, presentation, and food quality
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Operate the cash register, the grill, handle transactions accurately, and ensure the counter area is always clean and presentable
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including front of house, kitchen, back of house, and storage areas
- Assist with restocking supplies and ingredients to ensure freshness and availability
- Support opening and closing duties as assigned
- Work collaboratively with managers and fellow team members
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience working with Toast POS is preferred but not required
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced quick service restaurant, deli or bagel store is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment & maintain composure under pressure
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
- A passion for food and a desire to learn about the bagel-making process
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using Toast POS or similar systems
- Food handling or food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Grill experience in making hot sandwiches
