RUSH Facilities LLC, a division of the RUSH family of Companies, is looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager.


Job Title: AssistantOperations Manager

Location: Kennedy Space Center



Job Description:

The Assistant Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and direct skilled labor for an Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contract with a government client. This contract encompasses numerous facilities across Kennedy Space Center and the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in both facility management and with client interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Operations Manager to ensure contract compliance and customer satisfaction
  • Manage skilled trades and set priorities to ensure maximum reliability of buildings and client assets.
  • Lead and mentor all employees on-site
  • Coordinate with outside vendors to attain proposals for repairs.
  • Execute and enforce policies and procedures to ensure contract compliance and client satisfaction
  • Ensure the entire team is appropriately trained to perform tasks required of contract
  • Manage all aspects of facilities operations to include maintenance, custodial services, safety, and security
  • Mange sub-contractors
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
  • Operate within approved budgetary constraints
  • Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is appropriately prioritized to ensure productivity of workforce and operational readiness of client assets
  • Prioritize work to minimize downtime of critical assets

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications/Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in industrial or commercial facility maintenance
  • 7+ years of experience in managing and leading teams
  • 7+ years of experience using a CMMS

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

  • Facility Maintenance Professional (FMP) Certification
  • Experience with laboratory building systems

Education:

Associates degree or certification program in a skilled trade preferred



Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to speak with employees and clients at all levels of the organization.
  • Advanced time management, organization and prioritization abilities
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other building systems
  • Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in CMMS software, Maintenance Connection preferred


Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must be a US Citizen
  • Must have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job, with or without accommodation.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to work in a diversity of settings to include an office environment, spaces with hot and noisy industrial machinery, and outside settings in the elements.
