Small Italian Restaurant seeking a Sous Chef to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the restaurant's brand and reputation.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
  • Oversee and maintain cleanliness and food sanitation
  • Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
  • Check freshness and quality of ingredients
  • Assist in the development of menu items
  • Visually inspect all food sent from kitchen
  • Standardize recipes and plate presentations
  • Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests
  • Work in harmony with Chef, Servers and other kitchen staff to provide an outstanding product
  • Plating and garnishing meals consistently by Executive Chef's standards

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of cost and labor systems
  • Passion for food and cooking techniques
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience with wood fired pizza and Italian Food is a bonus!
