Small Italian Restaurant seeking a Sous Chef to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the restaurant's brand and reputation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
- Oversee and maintain cleanliness and food sanitation
- Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
- Check freshness and quality of ingredients
- Assist in the development of menu items
- Visually inspect all food sent from kitchen
- Standardize recipes and plate presentations
- Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests
- Work in harmony with Chef, Servers and other kitchen staff to provide an outstanding product
- Plating and garnishing meals consistently by Executive Chef's standards
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in culinary arts, cooking, or other related fields
- Knowledge of cost and labor systems
- Passion for food and cooking techniques
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience with wood fired pizza and Italian Food is a bonus!
