Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wholesale Manager to lead and scale Comfy Cubs’ wholesale business across the U.S. and international markets. This role is responsible for driving new account acquisition, expanding into chain retailers, developing international distribution, and owning the wholesale function end-to-end. You will lead a high-performing sales team, execute strategic trade show initiatives, and work closely with internal teams and external partners. This is a full-time, on-site role in Miami, FL, with travel as needed.


Key Responsibilities


  • Sales Growth and Account Development


  • Open and grow new mom-and-pop and regional retail accounts, e.g., adding 20+ boutique retailers in key markets within a year.


  • Secure placement in national chain stores, such as Target, Nordstrom, or similar chains.


  • Develop and expand international wholesale and distributor relationships, e.g., launching in 2-3 new international markets.


  • Build long-term strategic partnerships with wholesale customers that result in repeat orders and expanded distribution.


Strategy and Leadership


  • Develop and execute wholesale sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives, e.g., creating a tiered account strategy that prioritizes high-growth regions.


  • Build, manage, and mentor a high-performing sales team, ensuring clear KPIs, coaching, and professional development.


  • Partner with senior leadership to create and implement pricing strategies that protect margins while driving growth.


Operations and Execution


  • Oversee wholesale product orders, forecasting, and account management to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.

  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, and marketing to ensure seamless execution, e.g., launch kits for new retail partners or trade show activation support.

  • Maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners through proactive communication and reliable follow-through.


Qualifications


  • Proven track record in wholesale management or related leadership roles, e.g., leading a team that grew wholesale revenue by 30%+ year-over-year.

  • Significant experience driving revenue growth and managing high-value accounts, ideally including national chains or international distribution.

  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and business development skills.

  • Deep understanding of wholesale economics, pricing strategies, and margin management.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

  • Experience leading and mentoring sales teams.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively.

  • Experience in the baby, nursery, or consumer products industry is highly desirable.

  • Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and ability to operate independently.
