Their customers rely on them for safety, precision, and exceptional service across a wide range of general aviation platforms.
Position Overview
The organization is seeking a conscientious, detail-oriented Senior Avionics Technician in Jacksonville, FL, with a background in the aircraft or automotive industry. This position is a key member of the maintenance team and plays an important role in supporting the company’s growing reputation as a trusted provider of aircraft maintenance services.
The Avionics Technician will collaborate closely with technical teams to improve processes, increase maintenance efficiency, and deliver customer-recognized quality.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair avionics equipment and aircraft electrical systems, including Garmin, Aspen, Genesys, and Avidyne systems
- Perform IFR and VFR inspections
- Under limited supervision, remove and install avionics components, fabricate wire harnesses, complete terminations, ring-out wiring, and perform functional system tests
- Reassemble aircraft interiors, instrument panels, and avionics equipment bays following avionics installations
- Ensure all work performed is inspected and approved by an authorized repair station inspector
- Learn, understand, and follow company work order and parts requisition processes
- Read and interpret aircraft wiring diagrams and schematics
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Repairment Certificate required
- Airframe Certificate and/or FCC License preferred
- 5+ years of avionics experience
- Required hands-on Garmin installation experience
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, attention-to-detail, communication, and teamwork skills
